Wihlborgs lets 24,000 square metres to Aarsleff in Copenhagen

{newsItem.title}

Wihlborgs has signed a lease with the Danish contractor group Per Aarslef A/S for 24,000 m² at Ejby Industrivej 41 in western Copenhagen. The extensive property is being developed in parallel by Wihlborgs as a promising development project.

Ejby Industrivej 41 in Glostrup, western Copenhagen, encompasses 50,000 m² and was let to Danske Bank until 2021. The property consists of a large plot with three buildings. One building is let (2023–2026) to the Danish Building and Property Agency, which uses the premises for the Rigspolitiet (the National Police of Denmark).

Per Aarsleff A/S has now signed a 15-year lease for one of the existing buildings comprising 24,000 square metres. To adapt the building to its role as Aarsleff’s Copenhagen office, the building will undergo a major renovation prior to occupancy in February 2026. This will result in a state-of-the-art office built around a central 12-metre atrium.

Aarsleff is an international infrastructure and construction group with its registered office in Aarhus. The company specializes in complex infrastructure, construction and building projects, offering solutions for both the public and private sectors.

Ejby Industrivej 41 already has direct access to the ring road and other motorway networks and transportation links will improve further when the Greater Copenhagen Light Rail opens a new station right next door in 2025.

“Gaining Aarsleff as a tenant at Ejby Industrivej is a gratifying and important milestone that confirms our strategy to develop the property in stages is correct. The agreement also showcases how well the location, qualities and development potential of the property match with the requirements of leading companies in Denmark,” says Søren Kempf Holm, CEO of Wihlborgs A/S.

“Ejby Industrivej has substantial potential due to its location and design. We can both meet the increased demand for larger office premises with good connections and proximity to Copenhagen – and concurrently further develop the property with a long-term perspective to offer the market different types of premises,” says Ulrika Hallengren, CEO of Wihlborgs.
