Vultus partners with Skånesemin
Vultus AB (publ) announces that the company has entered into a collaboration with the Swedish company Skånesemin. The collaboration includes Vultus analytical services for precision farming of grass (forage grass), which will start with a pilot study that will run jointly until July 2024. Upon successful completion of the pilot study, commercial negotiations will be initiated to offer the service to Skånesemin's members.
Vultus analytics services for forage grass enable the prediction of protein levels and dry matter content across each part of the crop field. The analytics service provides an improved overview of protein levels in the grassland harvest, creating the conditions for optimizing production and producing high-quality feed.
Vultus and Skånesemin have initiated a collaboration on Vultus analysis services for forage grass. The collaboration will start with a pilot study conducted jointly until July 2024. If the pilot study proves to be successful, meaning that it meets the criteria for estimating biomass, crude protein and dry matter levels within 10-20% accuracy, as well as providing valuable insights into field variations during the growing season, commercial negotiations will be initiated to offer the service to Skånesemin's members.
Per Karlsson, CEO of Vultus, comments: "We are very pleased to announce the collaboration with Skånesemin regarding our analytical services for forage grass. Users will be able to monitor average values with high precision throughout the growing season. Growers and feeders can make better decisions and optimize the farm's grass harvest, as well as know the input values of the feed when it goes to silage. The service also allows you to assess the effects of measures taken in previous seasons, significantly streamlining the process of optimizing feed delivery to each group of individuals."
"Correct levels of crude protein are essential to produce quality feed for each group of individuals that depend on them for nutrition. Vultus analytical services can change the way we assess feed quality, as average values can be monitored with good precision throughout the growing season. This will facilitate our decisions and enable a significantly improved overview of protein levels in the grass harvest." says Christoffer Isenstråle, CEO of Skånesemin.
