Vincit USA Names New Head of Sales, Former HP Sales Director Harry Ollikainen
IRVINE, CA (April 11, 2022) - Further establishing their intercontinental collaboration between Finland and United States operations, Vincit USA is proud to welcome Harry Ollikainen as their new Head of Sales. Ollikainen boasts over 24 years of experience in account management, business development and sales across the IT industry and joins the Vincit team during a period of rapid growth in 2021 and 2022.
Recently relocating from Finland, Ollikainen is the most recent transplant to join the leading software development and design agency with operations in Orange County and Metro-Phoenix. Numerous other Finnish counterparts have made a similar move following the lead of Vincit USA CEO, Ville Houttu with additional plans to integrate ‘cross pond’ hiring practices in 2022 and beyond.
Prior to Vincit, Ollikainen worked as Sales Director at Hewlett Packard Enterprise for Finland and the Baltics. Before his time at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, he has held several sales, business development and managerial positions. Ollikainen holds a Master of Science degree from The Helsinki University of Technology in Finland.
Ollikainen’s arrival is part of Vincit’s vision to enhance collaborations between Finnish and US operations to further adopt hiring and retention practices established in Finland but executed in the states. Ranked as one of the happiest countries in the world, Finland’s priority of work life balance with an emphasis on mutual respect has been the main factor in the development of Vincit’s workplace culture.
“Harry’s expertise and years of experience will be a huge asset as Vincit continues to grow its client base in the United States,” says Ville Houttu, CEO, Vincit USA. “Having worked with HPE on a global level, we know he will bring a unique perspective to cultivating new relationships with target partners as we look to better serve the development needs of potential clients. On a personal level, am always happy to welcome another Finn to the states who understands the work-life balance we adhere to at Vincit.”
Ollikainen’s role will help support the agency’s rapid expansion as Vincit was named on last year’s Inc. 5000 list as one of America’s fastest growing private companies. Nationally acclaimed for its progressive work culture, Vincit employs more than 500 professionals across its locations in Arizona, California, Finland, and Switzerland.
“What attracted me to Vincit, and making the move to California, was the prospect of joining a well-respected company who has strong roots in Finland, but has made great strides to transfer that reputation to the US in a very short time frame,” says Ollikainen. “I look forward to cultivating relationships with new partners to convey the Vincit vision to lead the field in software development, but further establish a company culture that believes in and supports that vision.”
Ollikainen currently lives in Irvine, CA, but split time between the Orange County and Phoenix offices. In his personal time, he is an avid scuba diver and practices martial arts. For more information on Vincit, please visit www.vincit.com.
