URB-IT GROWS PARTNERSHIP WITH YODEL IN MANCHESTER
Urb-it continues to grow its sustainable last mile delivery network through expanding its partnership with Yodel
Urb-it, a rapidly growing sustainable logistics platform, announces that it has expanded its partnership with independent parcel carrier Yodel in Manchester, UK. The expansion will create further jobs and grow Urb-it's last mile delivery volumes in Manchester, which has the goal of being Net Zero by 2038.
Urb-it has partnered with Yodel since 2021, enabling one of the UK's leading delivery companies to reduce carbon emissions by offering truly sustainable last-mile delivery solutions to its customers. Urb-it delivers the last mile entirely, through its employed couriers delivering on its e-cargo bike fleet. It is B Corp certified, committed to the highest standards of social and environmental impact.
In addition to Manchester, Urb-it and Yodel are also delivery partners in Bristol, Glasgow and London. Urb-it partners with e-commerce and logistics businesses and its UK operations continue to grow at pace, now providing sustainable last-mile delivery services across its major cities - including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Bristol and Glasgow.
Sébastien Potts, UK Country Manager, Urb-it said:
"Urb-it's partnership expansion with Yodel is driven by a shared goal - to provide customer-centric, sustainable last-mile delivery solutions which make a positive impact on the cities where we operate.
"Our expansion with Yodel in Manchester demonstrates the continued need & demand for sustainable urban delivery solutions which support cities achieving their net zero goals. In addition, we reduce congestion on the roads, are able to use the expanding cycling networks and employ our couriers. I look forward to continuing to work and expand with the Yodel team."
Carl Moore, COO of Yodel commented: "The partnership with Urb-it has allowed us to develop our last-mile services to better solve the challenges of navigating busy city centres. Delivering by bike gives us flexibility and allows us to deliver parcels to customers more quickly and efficiently. In expanding our offering in Manchester we can continue to build on the success we have already seen in London. Cycle courier operations also support our mission to improve sustainability across our network to achieve our ambitious carbon reduction targets."
