Extending last-mile sustainable delivery services in London and launching in Glasgow & Bristol

Urb-it, a rapidly growing sustainable logistics platform, is delighted to announce it is expanding its partnership with independent parcel carrier Yodel. This partnership further supports Yodel's expansion of sustainable, last-mile delivery efforts to provide convenient deliveries in Glasgow, Bristol and expanding the current service within London.
Urb-it has worked with Yodel since 2021, delivering parcels via its green network within several London boroughs. In 2021, Urb-it has expanded in the UK - both in London and launching in new cities including Bristol and Glasgow. Its couriers deliver the last-mile exclusively on foot, bikes or via its e-cargo fleet, reducing noise pollution, air pollution and congestion.
As one of the leading logistics businesses in the UK, Yodel recognises its responsibilities in tackling climate change and is aligned with the UK's Government's 2050 Net-Zero strategy. Yodel's partnership with Urb-it forms part of its target to reduce its carbon emissions, by offering greener delivery services via bicycle.

Today London, Glasgow and Bristol all have Clean Air Zones in effect to reduce the environmental impact from vehicles to improve air quality and minimise pollution. On 25 October London extended its Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) to a larger district.
In 2021, Urb-it has grown rapidly across the UK and France and is planning to expand in both new and existing cities in these markets and across Europe. Urb-it became B Corp certified in 2020, committing to maintaining the highest standards of environmental performance, social performance, public transparency and legal accountability.
