As recently communicated, TH1NG has entered into an agreement with Mariehamn Energi for the delivery of TH1NG’s IoT platform, IoT Open. Mariehamn Energi will deploy the platform as a local installation (also known as On-Prem) and thus becoming TH1NG’s first IoT Open On-Prem customer outside Sweden. The agreement spans three (3) years and has an estimated contract value of SEK 300,000.
Mariehamn Energi is taking another step in its digital development by implementing IoT Open as a local installation. A key part of the initiative is the monitoring of power substations in the archipelago of Åland via LoRaWAN, a technology that enables cost-effective and energy-efficient communication over long distances.
The local installation of IoT Open allows for the integration of various technologies and systems within Mariehamn Energi’s infrastructure, creating a more cohesive and future-proof solution.
- This is a milestone for TH1NG as it marks our first delivery of IoT Open On-Prem outside Sweden, says Robert Spertina, Acting CEO of TH1NG.
With IoT Open, we can not only meet high security and compliance requirements but also enable seamless integration of different technologies and systems. We look forward to supporting Mariehamn Energi in their digital transformation, says Robert Spertina.
- By implementing IoT Open as a local installation, we can ensure a high level of security and compliance with regulatory requirements while strengthening our digital infrastructure. This is an important step in our efforts to improve operational reliability, adapt our business for the future, and promote sustainable development, says Robert Kjellberg, CEO of Mariehamn Energi.
