Restaurang Laziza expands to Lund – set to open at the Wihlborgs property at Ideon
The Malmö-based Lebanese restaurant chain Laziza is opening a branch in Alfahuset (Studentkåren 2) at Ideon in Lund. The restaurant will be their first outside Malmö and a new element of the service offering in the tech-rich area.
Restaurang Laziza currently operates two restaurants, one in Malmö City and one in Dockan, and plans to open at Wihlborgs’ Vista property (Bläckhornet 1) in Hyllie at the end of 2025. Having received many proposals from Lund, in particular from the Ideon area where Laziza currently already has many catering customers, the company is now taking the next step in its development by establishing in a new city.
The restaurant in Alfahuset will open in August 2024 and will be Laziza’s largest restaurant to date, with room for 200 guests. The premises will undergo an extensive renovation and will represent a cornerstone of Laziza’s new identity.
“We already deliver to several companies at Ideon and are seeing considerable demand for the food that we offer. It is particularly pleasing to establish ourselves at Lund, which is at the forefront in the field of sustainability, as we intensify our own sustainability efforts with our own produce and collaboration with local producers. The restaurant marks a bit of a reset for us as we take this opportunity to clarify and strengthen our identity,” says Sadoo Iskandarani, founder and head chef at Laziza.
“Laziza will be something entirely new for Ideon/Brunnshög, where a mixture of students, researchers, entrepreneurs and employees from major tech companies can be found. Good lunch alternatives cannot be underrated when it comes to retaining and developing areas of innovation,” says Ulrika Hallengren, CEO of Wihlborgs.
