Rejlers signs agreement with NYAB for project on Viskadalsbanan
Rejlers has signed an agreement with NYAB for an extensive infrastructure project on the Viskadalsbanan, the Borås-Varberg section. To ensure a reliable connection along the railway and improve the network's capacity, a new pipe system is now being installed to enable the installation of new fiber cables.
In the Opto 2.0 railway project, the existing fibre cable, which is reaching the end of its technical life, will be replaced to ensure a stable and future-proof connection. This is of particular importance for the signalling systems along the railway. By installing a new multiduct, which makes it easy to add more fiber cables if needed, the railway network is prepared for the increasing demands for data communication in the future.
Rejlers will be responsible for the design and production of construction documents for the installation of multiduct, microcable and associated extension cabinets and wells. In connection with this, management data and relationship documents will be delivered. In addition, the management of permits, notifications and other administrative processes are included in the project.
“We are proud to contribute to the development of Sweden's infrastructure through this strategically important project together with the project owner NYAB. The project is a continuation of our long-term collaboration with the Swedish Transport Administration and we look forward to delivering high-quality solutions that future-proof society”, says Anel Bajramovic, Business Area Manager Railways at Rejlers.
