Railcare signs renewed agreement for iron ore transports for LKAB Malmtrafik of approximately SEK 50 million
Railcare has renewed its agreement with LKAB Malmtrafik relating to iron ore transports. The value of the agreement is approximately SEK 50 million and spans the period until 31 December 2022.
The transports, which encompass three rounds per day between Svappavaara-Kiruna and Svappavaara-Gällivare will start immediately.
“These transports require high delivery reliability and the fact that we have now received the renewed confidence of LKAB is evidence of our effective transport operations and is obviously very pleasing,” commented Mattias Remahl, CEO of Railcare Group AB.
Railcare’s previous agreement with LKAB Malmtrafik started in June 2020 and included one round per day at the time. During the agreement period, this was expanded to include three rounds per day by the time the agreement terminated on 31 December 2021.
