Polymer Factory’s dendritic materials mentioned in book on smart materials in health sciences
Earlier in 2023, the book New Trends in Smart Nanostructured Biomaterials in Health Sciences was published as a volume in Materials Today. The book covers two sections, on Smart nanostructured materials for oncology and Smart nanostructured materials for tissue engineering, respectively.
In the book’s second chapter, Dendrimers and dendrimer-based nano-objects for oncology applications, Polymer Factory’s biocompatible and biodegradable dendrimers – also known as the Hult-type dendrimers, named after one of Polymer Factory’s founders – are mentioned as one of the most important classes of biodegradable dendrimers to be used as nanomedicine devices. The chapter has been co-authored by researchers who have previously published an evaluation of bis-MPA dendrimers for delivery of anti-cancer drug doxorubicin.
