OXE MARINE TO ATTEND HIGH-SPEED BOATS OPERATIONS FORUM IN GOTHENBURG

OXE Marine AB (publ) are attending the coming tradeshow High Speed Boats Operation Forum, HSBO, ongoing between the 7th-9th of June in Gothenburg. HSBO is a meeting place for industry representatives from all over the world, offering its professional participants various seminars as well as opportunities to test boats on display. A twin OXE300 installation will be displayed, available for demos.

HSBO is an international conference, attracting participants form the marine sector from all over the world. Among this year’s speakers are representatives from the marine industry as well as from civil and governmental commercial boating.

”HSBO draws a broad group of representatives from the marine industry. You can find everything from propeller and engine manufacturers to leading representatives from both the commercial marine and governmental sector. As leading manufacturers of diesel-powered outboards, this is a very good opportunity to showcase ourselves and at the same time meet some of the industry’s key stakeholders,” says Paul Frick, CEO of OXE Marine AB.

Thanks to patented belt technology able to utilize the high torque of diesel engines, OXE Marine’s outboards offer a combination of low fuel consumption and high power output. Unlike gasoline, diesel fuel possesses significantly lower flammability, making it an especially crucial safety consideration for various applications, particularly in commercial and governmental sectors. Consequently, the transition from gasoline to exclusive diesel usage streamlines logistical operations, which partly prompted the NATO defense alliance to begin phasing out gasoline as a fuel source several years ago. Instead, they have increasingly adopted diesel as their primary fuel choice.

”Diesel engines offers great advantages for commercial and navy applications, and as one of few diesel outboard manufacturers, we see great opportunities in these sectors. HSBO is a great exhibition to demonstrate what our technology feels like in practice,” says Paul Frick.

Significantly lower fuel consumption and emissions
Through testing, OXE Marine’s diesel outboards have shown significantly lower fuel consumption than the equivalent gasoline-powered ones. When OXE Marine, in the summer of 2022, conducted tests of a twin installation of OXE300’s on a Nimbus T11 boat, it was found that the gasoline alternative in the same power class had a 50 percent higher fuel consumption and correspondingly higher emission of carbon dioxide.
