MilDef's subsidiary Handheld wins order from Makin worth 67 MSEK
MilDef's fully owned subsidiary Handheld has signed an agreement for the delivery of ruggedized tablets in the Algiz RT10 series to Makin, an international supplier of machine control. The agreement extends over five years and the total order value amounts to 67 MSEK.
Handheld's Algiz RT10 is a ruggedized 10-inch Android tablet designed to work in harsh conditions. Under the agreement, the devices will serve as a key component of the customer's machine control system and workflow tools. These tools play a central role in enabling the construction industry to manage projects with precision, digital documentation and increased efficiency.
“The order from Makin was won in strong competition and is a proof of the strength of Handheld's offering in ruggedized handhelds and tablets. The size of the delivery makes this one of the largest deals we have done and provides another strong reference to Handheld," says Thomas Vallmar, MD of Handheld Group.
“After the acquisition of Handheld, we have worked hard to form a new management and organization that we believe is best suited to re-create revenue growth for Handheld. It is gratifying to see positive results of the efforts and the deal hopefully sets the tone for more major deals to follow that will significantly contribute to MilDef's continued growth journey. I am proud of the new organization at Handheld that made the agreement possible through hard work and cooperation," says Daniel Ljunggren, President and CEO of MilDef Group.
