MilDef wins OneCIS software contract and hardware orders from FMV worth SEK 81 million
MilDef has signed an agreement with the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration (FMV) regarding a command-and-control system for increased NATO interoperability and connectivity to the Swedish Navy. The solution consists of MilDef's OneCIS software, hardware and integration services. The contract is initially worth SEK 81 million and deliveries will take place in 2025. Given outcome of options, the total value can amount to SEK 127 million.
MilDef has delivered tactical IT to FMV since 1997. The latest order is for the implementation of MilDef's software, which is already in operation in other Nordic countries. Based on the OneCIS installation software, it enables efficient and secure communication at all necessary levels between collaborating units in the NATO system.
“As the Swedish defense becomes an integral part of NATO, MilDef is proud to contribute with a system that simplifies and streamlines communication between cooperating nations. Our unique software OneCIS connects both systems and nations for increased collaboration and capability. For MilDef, FMV's confidence points to our ability to deliver a comprehensive solution with the full breadth of our portfolio, ie software, hardware and integration services”, says Daniel Ljunggren, President and CEO MilDef.
MilDef's OneCIS software enables rapid deployment of tactical IT services to, for example, mobile command and control systems, tactical units and rapid response forces. In this case, the systems will be installed on a number of Navy ships and command posts, for increased interoperability and secure communication within NATO nations' cooperating units.
