Midsona receives prestigious climate rating
Midsona AB (publ) (“Midsona”) today announces that the company once again has been recognized for its climate change strategy and leadership by the global environmental non-profit initiative CDP. For the second year in a row, Midsona achieves the rating A-, placing Midsona among the best reporting listed companies in the world.
By disclosing its environmental impact through CDP, a global non-profit that runs the world’s leading environmental disclosure platform, Midsona is showing its commitment to environmental transparency. Midsona has disclosed through CDP since 2021, and for 2022 also completed CDP’s climate change questionnaire. By disclosing through CDP, Midsona AB is prepared to respond to the increasing demand for environmental transparency from financial institutions, customers, and policymakers. In its disclosure 2022, Midsona shared detailed information about its climate change leadership and business strategy, climate impact and environmental activities including climate-related scenario analysis and carbon transition plan which aligns with a 1.5°C world to reach Science Based targets and Net-Zero target 2045.
“CDP disclosure helps us to identify and manage environmental risks and to drive our climate change agenda in accordance with the UN’s latest science and global development with new requirements for progress every year. As a further significant step to strengthen Midsona’s climate work in line with the UN, we have in July 2022 committed to setting an ambitious SBTi approved Net-Zero target by 2045 based on SBTi's new Net-Zero standard which was launched in October 2021,” said Peter Åsberg, CEO of Midsona.
More than 680 financial institutions with US$130 trillion in assets and 280 purchasing organizations representing US$6.4 trillion in procurement spend requested environmental data from companies through CDP.
