Mattias Jansson has been hired as Chief Financial Officer of Metacon
Mattias Jansson has been hired as Chief Financial Officer of Metacon AB (publ) with effect from July 1, 2024, and replaces Göran Rasberg who plans to retire.
Mattias Jansson comes most recently from a role as Finance Director for Olink Proteomics, listed on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange in the US. He has previously held the role as CFO for the Group at the same company and built-up finance functions and financial processes for a global business in strong growth.
"We are very happy that Mattias Jansson will be joining Metacon and will be part of our team. We are at the beginning of a growth journey and Mattias will be able to contribute on several levels with his experience and expertise as he has led the finance function for technology companies in a similar situation in previous roles. The fact that Mattias is an appreciated manager and leader who for several years and in various roles has developed financial processes for international companies is a strength that Metacon will benefit greatly from. Common to all of Mattias' roles has been to lead and develop finance departments to meet the companies' pace of change, which is valuable and relevant given the phase that Metacon is in. At the same time, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our current CFO Göran Rasberg who has served Metacon meritoriously for many years. Göran's robust efforts have been crucial for taking the company to where we are today", says Christer Wikner, President and CEO, Metacon.

About Metacon AB (publ)
Metacon AB (publ) develops and manufactures energy systems for the production of hydrogen, heat and electricity. The products are based, among other things, on a patented technology that generates hydrogen through so-called catalytic steam reforming of biogas or other hydrocarbons. The development of Metacon's reforming products is done within the wholly owned subsidiary Metacon S.A., which is a spin-off from the University of Patra, Greece and was founded by Professor Xenophon Verykios in 2001. From the outset, the business has focused on catalysts and advanced reformers for highly efficient hydrogen production.
Metacon also offers system solutions and facilities for the production of hydrogen through so-called electrolysis, a large and globally growing area for production of green hydrogen. Hydrogen can be used in sectors such as transport, basic industry and the real estate sector, with a better environment and climate as a result.
