M.O.B.A. Network AB intensifies investment into in-game advertising
M.O.B.A. Network has taken the strategic decision to increase its investment in projects regarding in-game advertising. The decision is a consequence of the strong growth of the in-game app Porofessor and an external market analysis.
As previously communicated, a new in-game app and website for the game Valorant is under development to be released and incorporated into the portfolio during the first half of 2024. Additional in-game apps will follow this release.
“We have focused our organization on efficiently developing and launching new in-game apps, and I expect at least one additional new in-game app, besides Valorant, during H1 2024. We are excited to harness the power of in-game advertising, opening up new avenues for engagement and growth.”, says Björn Mannerqvist.
The decision is based on learnings from the success of M.O.B.A. Network’s in-game app Porofessor, with over 12M downloads, making it the second largest app on Overwolf; the leading platform for in-game creators and User Generated Content (UGC) and market analysis, primarily he recently released State of UGC 2024 report by the world-renowned game industry consultancy Naavik. The report has spotlighted the exponential growth and transformative potential of in-game advertising & UGC. M.O.B.A. Network’s partner Overwolf, a central figure in this evolution, has made remarkable contributions, injecting $201M into the developer payout pool, showcasing a staggering 26% growth year-on-year. M.O.B.A. recognizes the immense potential and aligns its strategic vision with these industry advancements.
