Loomis issues inaugural EUR 300 million Sustainability-Linked Bonds
Loomis AB has successfully completed the issuance of EUR 300 million sustainability-linked senior unsecured bonds with a coupon of 3.625% and a tenor of 5 years. The bonds have been issued under its newly established EUR 1 billion EMTN Programme dated 23 August 2024. The proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes and to refinance loans.
“The transaction received strong support and garnered significant interest, attracting around 100 investors and generating an order book of EUR 1.3 billion,” comments Johan Wilsby, Loomis Chief Financial Officer.
The bonds were issued in accordance with Loomis’ Sustainability-Linked Finance Framework with a Second party Opinion from Sustainalytics, both dated July 2024. Loomis has tied the sustainability-linked bonds to the outcome of its target to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 carbon dioxide emissions by 34% by 2027 from baseline year 2019.
By continuing to integrate sustainability targets into the financing of the company, Loomis further strengthens its sustainability commitments.
The joint lead managers were BofA Securities, Danske Bank and Nordea.
The bonds will be listed and admitted to trading on the regulated market of Euronext Dublin and have a rating of BBB by S&P Global.
