KlaraBo signs agreement on sustainability-linked financing
KlaraBo has signed a framework agreement on sustainability-linked financing with Swedbank. This agreement ties the pricing of the loan financing to KlaraBo's sustainability goals. Loans linked to these goals constitute over 10 percent of KlaraBo's total loan portfolio, providing additional incentives for the company's sustainability efforts.
“Our ambition is to continuously expand our sustainability-linked financing over time. This agreement is the first step in this process, and we are pleased to have established it,” says Per Holmqvist, CFO at KlaraBo.
“We are delighted to have been entrusted with signing KlaraBo's first sustainability-linked financing. This financing helps support KlaraBo's ambitious and long-term sustainability work and their journey towards an increased share of sustainable financing,” says Björn Mannerfelt, Client Executive at Swedbank.
As of March 31, KlaraBo's interest-bearing liabilities amounted to over SEK 4.9 billion. The company intends to increase the proportion of sustainability-linked financing going forward and has initiated dialogue with the group’s other banks.
KlaraBo's sustainability goals include using only renewable energy for electricity, heating, and vehicles in their operations by 2030 and achieving climate neutrality throughout the entire value chain by 2045.
