Grieg Seafood ASA - Appoints Magnus Johannesen as new CFO
Grieg Seafood today announced a planned Chief Financial Officer (CFO) transition, as Atle Harald Sandtorv has initiated the process of stepping down from his role. Global Finance Officer Magnus Johannesen will act as CFO effective 5 February 2025.
“Magnus has shown a strategic mindset and analytical skills that makes me confident he will be a great contributor to the continued development of Grieg Seafood,” says CEO Andreas Kvame.
Magnus Johannesen joined Grieg Seafood from Frydenbø Group where he was Chief Investment Officer. He also holds experience as interim CFO in the investment company Rexir Holding and from McKinsey & Company. Johannesen holds a MSc in business administration from Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) with specialisation in auditing and accounting.
Johannesen replaces Atle Harald Sandtorv, who has held the position as CFO of Grieg Seafood since 2009.
“Atle Harald has played an instrumental role in the shaping of Grieg Seafood for more than 15 years, having secured the financing and capital structure enabling our growth and development over this period. I want to thank Atle Harald for his leadership and commitment over many years,” says Andreas Kvame.
In a mutual agreement with the company, Atle Harald Sandtorv continues to support the new transition moving forward.
