Formpipe signs new agreement regarding maintenance and development services for the City of Malmö
The software company Formpipe has signed an exclusive agreement with the City of Malmö regarding maintenance and further development of the city’s case- and document management system, including associated modules. The agreement runs over 10 years and the order value amounts to a minimum of SEK 15 million in the form of a recurring fee for support and management. Including additional fees for new development and adaptations of existing systems, the order value is estimated to amount to approximately SEK 50 million according to Malmö City's estimate.
“Formpipe has delivered one of the industry's leading solutions for case- and document management, Platina by Formpipe, to the City of Malmö for several years and the fact that we are now winning a long-term agreement for maintenance and further development of our solution confirms our strong position as a supplier to the public sector. The acquisition of our former partner Alkemit earlier this year further strengthens our delivery capacity towards this important segment. Helping authorities and municipalities with their digitalisation journey has a high strategic priority for us", says Christian Sundin, CEO of Formpipe.
The case- and document management system Platina by Formpipe has been created and developed in Sweden for the Swedish public sector, a flexible and scalable system that is configured to be able to meet business-specific needs in the public sector.
“The City of Malmö has worked hard to adapt our operations to the digital society at all levels to reduce processing times and streamline our communication with citizens. We are pleased to have completed this procurement and thus ensured that the city has a reliable and robust solution to continue to streamline the administrative work in the city's units for many years to come. We have had a good collaboration with Formpipe over the years and look forward to a continued common agenda", says Ingegerd Svensson, section manager at the department for management and support at the City of Malmö.
The agreement has been subject to the usual standstill period within the framework of the rules that apply in a public procurement and enters into force immediately
