Fabege maintains its top GRESB ranking
GRESB (Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark) produces an annual ranking of the property sector from a sustainability perspective. In this year’s assessment, Fabege achieved 93 points in the management portfolio and 98 points in the project portfolio, out of a possible 100 for each part. Fabege therefore receives the highest rating, 5 stars, and is placed in first place in the office sector among listed real estate companies in northern Europe.
This year’s assessment for GRESB (Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark) included 2,084 companies from 75 countries, with the average score being 75 points. The ranking assesses sustainability using three perspectives: environmental aspects, social aspects and governance.
“We consider this year’s GRESB result to be further proof that we are a leading company with our ambitious sustainability agenda. We have the industry's lowest energy performance, at 73 kWh/sqm Atemp, we environmentally certified our entire portfolio already three years ago and we were the first Swedish property company to achieve 100 percent green financing,” says Mia Häggström, Head of Sustainability at Fabege.
Fabege’s goal is to actively contribute towards making the Stockholm region an even more sustainable location, and the company sets the bar high, to ensure that it future-proofs its properties and its customer offering over time.
Fabege’s sustainability goals include:
- Carbon-neutral property management by 2030
- Halving scope 3 for newbuild production by 2030 (compared to 2019)
- A 100% environmentally certified property portfolio
- 100% green financing
- Circularity index of 20% for major renovation and refurbishment work
