DecideAct closes contract with the first customer in the surgical service sector

DecideAct has signed a contract with Klíníkin Ármúla – Iceland’s only privately operated surgical service with a license to operate an inpatient department. The clinic will use DecideAct’s digital tool to monitor the strategic progress and make sure that the organization’s strategic goals are met.

We are pleased to announce that DecideAct now enters a new business field as we have signed with the first customer in the surgical service sector and are welcoming Klíníkin Ármúla as a DecideAct customer.

Klíníkin Ármúla is a modern medical center where specialists work together to deliver safe, high-quality medical services to achieve the best possible quality of life for each patient. The clinic has four operating rooms with equipment that meets the highest standards and strictest requirements of the international scientific community. As the only privately operated surgical service in Iceland that has a license to operate an inpatient department, Klíníkin is able to carry out larger operations.

Private hospitals and clinics, like the medical field as a whole, have enormous potential that is growing globally. As an example, in France alone, the turnover of private hospitals and clinics was more than 110 billion DKK in 2018 (Source: Statista). According to cms.gov (The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services), the U.S. health care spending in 2017 was $3.5 trillion. The share of Hospital Care (33 percent) was $1.1 trillion in 2017.
