Cloud security services a fast-growing business area for CYBER1
Stockholm, Sweden– 24th March 2022 – Demand for cyber security as a service is steadily increasing. Since CYBER1 Group’s launch of a security operations center last year, companies in different parts of the world have chosen a cloud first solution. This Security as a service can become the fastest growing business area for CYBER1 in a few years' time.
The biggest challenge for customers is to handle both increased complexity, as well as increased volume of attacks and malware. This means challenges when it comes to recruitment of security experts, both in terms of number and competence, as well as breadth in terms of skills. It is also resource consuming to create as comprehensive security solutions as possible. For many companies, cyber security is also outside the core business. There is a great risk that these security issues will not receive the required attention.
To mitigate this security gap, more and more companies are choosing managed security services. Another strong trend is managed security operations center. This model means that the widely differing security solutions, and the personnel, required are gathered under one roof. In August 2021, CYBER1 Group launched SOC as a cloud service, which is managed from South Africa. The first customer was in South America for a national Lottery. Since then, further agreements have been signed with B2B ecommerce company in Nairobi, a financial service group in South Africa, an African mining company and a gaming, hospitality and entertainment customer
“We have had a head start for this cloud service. There is a potential that Managed Services and SOC can become the fastest growing business area for CYBER1 in a few years' time”, says Robert Brown President of the CYBER1 Group.
CYBER1 Group manages all the resources, as well as all personnel and all security solutions required to prevent, detect, and manage security threats around the clock. CYBER1 also handles contacts with suppliers of the various security products and services used. SOC as a cloud service also means increased automation, faster action in security incidents, fewer false alarms, increased transparency in both policy and specific security solutions and support for security experts with the aim of helping the experts to perform even better work.
