Cinis Fertilizer is pleased to announce the appointment of Roger Svensk as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Mr. Svensk takes up the new position before end of December 2023. “With Roger Svensk as COO, we strengthen Cinis Fertilizer’s competence and ability to establish and operate current and future production facilities. He will be a key person in documenting and transferring experience from our first plant to the additional three next plants that we will have built by the end of 2028. In addition to the plant that is underway in Skellefteå, we will build the third strategically placed in relation to Northvolt’s factory in Borlänge. The electric car battery manufacturer will be one of the suppliers of our input sodium sulphate when we start that facility in mid-2026,” says Jakob Liedberg, CEO Cinis Fertilizer.
“Roger Svensk has solid experience from securing high operating economics and availability in a process industry. He is also good at communicating and motivating and getting everyone in the team involved and working towards the same goal. I am very pleased to welcome Roger to our team,” says Jakob Liedberg.
“I look forward to being involved in the company from an early stage and in the planning phase for a new production facility. I believe that I can contribute to a successful start for Cinis Fertilizer and that we can then bring experience and corporate culture to subsequent facilities,” says Roger Svensk.
“Manufacturing environmentally friendly mineral fertilizer is a process industry with continuous operation where the basis is that the machines are running as much as possible. I look forward to, together with many new colleagues, making sure to get started according to plan and thus contribute to efficient production and reduced emissions of greenhouse gases from the beginning of 2024,” he adds.
