Change in Penneo’s management - Penneo appoints new Chief Marketing Officer

Newly appointed Chief Marketing Officer will spearhead Penneo’s marketing efforts as it continues its growth journey and expands to new markets in Europe 


Penneo today announced that it has appointed Kirstine Møller Pedersen as new Chief Marketing Officer. 

Kirstine Møller Pedersen will step into her new role on 1 August 2023, and head up Penneo’s marketing team driving a range of strategic initiatives that are key to pave the way for growth and increase revenue as the company continues to execute its growth plans and intention to expand operations to new markets in Europe. This includes digital marketing aimed at generating demand for Penneo’s products as well as brand development and company positioning strategy. 

Commenting on the appointment, Penneo CEO Christian Stendevad said:

“Kirstine is a valuable addition to our executive team who will play a key role in Penneo as we continue our effort to build a position as a market leader and preferred partner for the audit and accounting industry in Europe. She has a proven track record in leading high performing marketing teams and knows what it takes to drive customer demand in disruptive SaaS-based tech companies that are either in the start-up or scale-up phase. She is also a person with a strategic mindset who is passionate about commercialization and developing positioning strategy. We are pleased to welcome her to Penneo.”

Kirstine Møller Pedersen is a Danish national and a master's graduate of Economics and Marketing from Copenhagen Business School. She joins Penneo from a position as Global Head of Marketing in Planday, a SaaS company specialized in Workforce Management software, where she has been instrumental to the company's growth and the successful acquisition by the tech giant, Xero, known for its small business accounting software.

Having spent several years in London, she previously worked for the Australian community marketplace, Airtasker, positioning the company for global expansion and a listing on the Australian stock exchange. While working in the tech sector in London, she also took part in co-founding and leading the online interior design marketplace company, Homewings, as CMO, through several high-pace growth and funding rounds. In her early career, Kirstine worked at Kunde & Co, a leading Danish branding- and marketing consultancy, where she headed up a team of consultants in Copenhagen.

Commenting on her new role as CMO, Kirstine said:

Penneo has been on an amazing journey so far and I am thrilled to have been invited on board to support the company, its customers, and people on the continued journey. I believe all of the important ingredients for success are already present today and my job will simply be to piece them together to fuel growth and product adoption across Europe, where demand is increasing demand for our Sign- and KYC solutions."
