Brjann Sigurgeirsson leaves the position as CEO of Thunderful Group
The board of directors of Gothenburg-based gaming company Thunderful Group AB (“Thunderful”) announces today that Brjann Sigurgeirsson as of August 10 leaves the role as CEO, which he assumed when the group was formed in 2019.
Thunderful’s previous CFO Anders Maiqvist steps in as interim CEO until a permanent successor takes office. The recruitment process to find a new permanent CEO who will lead the company on its continued growth journey has been initiated.
Brjann Sigurgeirsson remains in Thunderful and will assume a new role within the Games segment.
Chairman of the Board Mats Lönnqvist is confident about the future.
"I want to thank Brjann for the hard work and dedication that has led to Thunderful being a global player in the Games segment. I am pleased that Thunderful also going forward will benefit from Brjann’s experience and network in the gaming industry. I am convinced that Thunderful with Anders Maiqvist as interim CEO, together with the rest of group management, can develop Thunderful further with an increased focus on profitability and improved cash flow," says chairman Mats Lönnqvist.
