BPC Instruments secures new order for industrial-scale biopolymer plant in India
BPC Instruments AB (publ) ("BPC") announces an order from a prominent technical institution in India specialising in plastics engineering and polymer research. This order includes the supply of two BPC® Blue units, valued at approximately 0.6 MSEK. The institution will use the BPC® Blue instruments to assist its end customer in establishing an industrial-scale production facility for polylactic acid (PLA).

BPC received this order through its distributor in India, Elixir Technologies. The order for BPC® Blue instruments, placed by the institution, will support their end customer, a major sugar producer in India, in establishing a bioplastic industrial-scale production facility using sugarcane as the primary feedstock. The BPC® Blue instruments will be used to assess the biodegradability of these bioplastics. Revenue of approximately 0.6 MSEK from this order is expected to be recognised in the fourth quarter of this year.
