Biomethane Station Data October 2024

• A record 4,859 tonnes of Bio-CNG were dispensed from 14 public access refuelling stations in operation during October 2024, an increase of 19% from 4,094 tonnes in October 2023 (12 stations)
• The average daily dispensed volume was a record 156.8 tonnes in October 2024 compared to 132 tonnes dispensed per day in October 2023
• For the three months ending 31 October 2024, the total dispensed volume was 13,941 tonnes, an increase of 18% compared to the same period in 2023
• In October, a daily average of 1,826 vehicles refuelled at ReFuels' Bio-CNG stations, compared to 1,534 vehicles for the same period last year, corresponding to a 19% growth

“A ramp-up in deliveries of new CNG trucks in October supported continued growth in dispensed volumes as the increasing number of vehicles use our UK-wide station network. In the coming months, we expect new vehicle deliveries to accelerate and drive further volume growth as more fleets shift from diesel to renewable biomethane to reduce carbon emissions and fuel costs,” said Philip Fjeld, CEO of ReFuels.

In the three months ending 31 October 2024, ReFuels had 161 unique customer fleets refuelling across the network, compared to 147 for the comparable period in 2023.

Through the CNG Fuels brand, ReFuels operates 14 public-access Bio-CNG stations on major trucking routes in the UK. Two stations are under construction: one in Doncaster in South Yorkshire, one of the UK's largest logistics hubs, and one in Livingston in Scotland, which will enable low-emission transport between Glasgow and Edinburgh. ReFuels aims to have 30-40 stations in operation and under construction by the end of 2026.
