Announcing partnership as Venture Developer to Traders Alloy AB to promote Open Finance
Katalysen Ventures is pleased to announce that we have formed a partnership as a late co-founder and venture developer to Stockholm-based Open Finance venture Traders Alloy AB. Katalysen Ventures has been invited to participate as a late co-founder and to invest approximately €117 (SEK1250) at par value (swedish: nominellt värde) in return for a 5% equity stake. Additionally, as a venture developer, Katalysen Ventures will help Traders Alloy find optimal product-market fit and secure key partnerships and clients. For this work as a venture developer, Katalysen will receive long-term options (warrants) on an additional 15% of equity.
“We have been busy building the Traders Alloy platform for the last two years, always with a mission to democratize equity data and in the process empower retail investors. This partnership with Katalysen Ventures will help us elevate Traders Alloy into a bigger context, and to leverage the highly consequential effects of Open Finance to achieve our mission and reduce still-existing inefficiencies in equity markets,” said Traders Alloy Co-Founder Petter Hattenbach on the announcement.
Traders Alloy AB was founded by Andrew Boddy (Founder and CTO) and Petter Hattenbach (Founder & CEO). Boddy is a highly experienced software Technical Leader, having helped both enterprises and startups build and sell software solutions. Hattenbach is an experienced investor, serving as Partner at Nocturne Ventures, Partner at CKDA Venture Capital, and Venture Partner to Gorilla Capital. Traders Alloy has previously received backing from Startup Wise Guys.
”When we evaluated this opportunity, three things stood out to us in our investment rationale: The timing (with new EU-led regulations on Open Finance around the corner), the exceptionally talented founder duo, and the fact that Katalysen Ventures through its network of ecosystem stakeholders, ventures, and investors in a very tangible manner can help add key partners and early-adopters to the new Traders Alloy platform. We believe in transparency, openness, and we have seen first-hand many of the inefficiencies in equity markets that remain to be addressed,” commented Katalysen Ventures CEO Peter Almberg.
