André Gaden appointed as new CEO and Ilija Batljan as CIO
The Board of Public Property Invest ASA (“PPI”) has today appointed André Gaden as the new CEO of PPI. Mr Gaden is today the COO of PPI. The Board has also appointed Ilija Batljan as new CIO of PPI. Batljan has served as interim CEO since the IPO in April 2024.

The Board of Directors is very pleased that André Gaden has accepted the position as the CEO of PPI. He has held important management positions in both PPI and other real estate companies, and he knows both the company and the sector very well» says Martin Mæland, Chair of the Board in PPI.
André Gaden is currently the COO of PPI. He has previously served as Property Director for Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (publ) and Hemfosa Samfunnsbygg AS as well as Commercial Director for Citycon Oyj. Mr Gaden holds an MBA from BI Business School.
“Ilija Batljan has been instrumental in establishing the current PPI structure as a well-capitalized, listed real estate company and a sustainable owner, operator and developer of social infrastructure properties. I am very pleased that he will continue his important work in establishing PPI as a leading consolidator as the company’s Chief Investment Officer” continues Mæland.
Mr Batljan is the Founder and a member of the board of directors of Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (publ). He has served as Board member for a large number of companies and has been Deputy CEO of Rikshem AB as well as Deputy County Commissioner for Stockholm Regional Council. Ilija Batljan holds BA in economics from Stockholm University and PhD in Demography and Planning for elderly care.
The change will be effective from 1 January 2025.
