Alleima receives two major orders for OCTG tubes
Alleima has received two major orders for corrosion resistant alloy OCTG tubes (Oil Country Tubular Goods) to the Oil and Gas segment, to a total value of approximately SEK 545 million.
The two orders valued at approximately SEK 335 million and SEK 210 million respectively were booked in the second quarter of 2023, and will be used for several offshore and onshore projects in the Middle East. Both orders are classified as major orders (i.e. above SEK 200 million) and will be reported in the Tube division. Deliveries are scheduled from the first half of 2024 and throughout the year.
“We are honored to have been awarded these two orders for OCTG tubes, as it shows the strength of our high-quality offering. Our prospect list remains solid for our entire product range, both for offshore and onshore projects, and we are well positioned to benefit from further investments in both oil and gas and renewable energy”, says Nigel Haworth, Acting President of Tube division.
The orders are the results of the strategic partnership between Alleima and Tenaris, through which the pipes are produced by Alleima, using Corrosion Resistant Alloy materials (CRA) and then finished and threaded by Tenaris. The partnership has been in place since 2003 and adds value to the oil and gas industry through joint research, product development, and the manufacturing of specialized tubular solutions for demanding applications.
