Airmee tests Clean Motion's electric vehicle for sustainable urban transportation

Clean Motion, the Swedish developer of ultra-light electric vehicles, and Airmee, one of the fastest-growing logistics technology companies in Europe, have entered a collaboration to test the use of Clean Motion’s EVIG delivery vehicle in Gothenburg. The trial is set to begin in the spring of 2025 and will explore the potential for sustainable and efficient last-mile delivery solutions in urban environments.
This initiative aligns with Airmee’s commitment to reducing emissions in urban logistics while maintaining high delivery efficiency. By integrating EVIG into its fleet, Airmee aims to evaluate the vehicle’s performance in real-world operations, with a focus on energy consumption, delivery capacity, and overall sustainability impact.
"Airmee is constantly working to develop smart and sustainable delivery solutions that reduce environmental impact. By testing Clean Motion's vehicles, new and innovative methods can be evaluated to make deliveries even more energy-efficient and sustainable. In addition to the environmental benefits, there is also potential to streamline deliveries and create even better customer experiences. Through this initiative, Airmee is future-proofing urban deliveries and strengthening its position in green logistics." – Elin Morales Härén, CEO of Airmee
EVIG is designed specifically for last-mile deliveries. With its customized design and integrated solar panels, EVIG offers a sustainable alternative to conventional delivery vehicles, reducing both emissions and operational costs. The vehicle’s compact size and agility make it particularly well-suited for navigating dense urban areas such as Gothenburg.
The operational test of EVIG in Airmee's fleet will begin in spring 2025 in Gothenburg. The city was chosen as the test environment because it offers a mix of challenging and dynamic delivery conditions, making it ideal for evaluating the vehicle's performance. At the same time, Airmee announces that they will establish a new terminal in Gothenburg, to increase capacity and efficiency in the region.
"Through this collaboration with Airmee, we can demonstrate how our vehicles offer a more sustainable and cost-effective solution for companies working with urban deliveries, also in Sweden," says Christoffer Sveder, Chief Commercial Officer at Clean Motion. "The collaboration with Airmee is yet another example of how we work with companies that seek sustainable and future-proof vehicles. It is through close collaborations and thorough evaluations that we create the right conditions for our customers to successfully implement truly sustainable alternatives that benefit both the urban environment and their finances."
