Arise Q1 2023: An eventful quarter – better than expected - Redeye

Redeye comments on Arise’s Q1 report, which came in better than expected. The quarter has been very eventful for Arise as it has signed a strategic partnership (January) with HT Skogar for the development of 500MW onshore wind, and due to the acquisition of Pohjan Voima in March. - An acquisition we consider very value accretive. The Q1 figures exceeded our expectations, primarily driven by higher realised electricity prices than we had expected – a result driven by Arise’s successful price hedges in the quarter. Also, the construction of Kölvallen was recognised to a greater extent than we expected, further driving the estimate beat.
