Shape Robotics receives its first order of 50 Thinken units from Lenovo under its newly announced pan-European partnership with Channel Tools
Herlev, Denmark – 26 August 2024 – Shape Robotics A/S, a leader in educational robotics, has received its first order of 50 units of its flagship product, the Thinken Mobile STEAM Lab, as part of a newly announced pan-European partnership with Channel Tools (see press release dated 22 April 2024). The order, placed by Lenovo, is part of a larger, undisclosed pool of potential orders that may be fulfilled over the next 3 to 4 quarters.
Lenovo’s order comes just one week after Shape Robotics was officially listed as part of Lenovo’s Third-Party Options (3PO) program, designed to expand Lenovo’s product offerings by featuring a variety of third-party top brands on its online platform.
Mark Abraham, CEO of Shape Robotics says: “Following our already established strategic collaboration with Lenovo to bring STEAM education to life, this order is a strategically important commercial milestone. It marks our official recognition as a true partner of Lenovo and provides further validation of the quality and innovation of Thinken. Our partnerships, including with Lenovo and Channel Tools, are essential for our growth strategy, as we continue to innovate and deliver outstanding products and services to our customers."
Depending on the specific fit-out and customization required by the educational institution, Thinken can be customized accordingly with an impact on the final price of the equipment, which may range from EUR 15,000 to EUR 35,000, or more. This pricing flexibility allows us to tailor Thinken to the unique needs of the clients, providing a comprehensive solution that integrates seamlessly into their educational environments.
The order does not change Shape Robotics financial guidance for 2024.
