PolarCool secures another PolarCap® agreement in the British Elite Ice Hockey League
The Med-Tech company PolarCool AB (publ.) has signed its second agreement in the British Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) with the Sheffield Steelers, who will incorporate the PolarCap® System into their concussion management routines, joining league counterparts Cardiff Devils.
PolarCool is further expanding the presence of the PolarCap® System in the British Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) by signing an agreement with Sheffield Steelers. Following Cardiff Devils' adoption of the system this season, the Sheffield Steelers have now become the second team in the league to integrate PolarCap® into their concussion management protocols. The EIHL, consisting of ten elite teams from Scotland, Wales, and England, represents a growing market for PolarCool, and since Cardiff Devils adoption of PolarCap® the company has intensified its dialogue with other clubs in the league.
PolarCool CEO Erik Andersson comments:
-We’re thrilled to see the PolarCap® System gaining traction in the British Elite Ice Hockey League. With both the Cardiff Devils and now the Sheffield Steelers providing PolarCap®, it confirms the interest for the treatment in the market, and we foresee more teams following their example. Every new agreement is important towards our goal of increasing PolarCap®’s presence in the European market and our goal of improving player safety for athletes.
PolarCool now has established a strong foothold in European professional ice hockey, with the PolarCap® System being utilized in top leagues across Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, Finland, Denmark, and Austria. The agreement with Sheffield Steelers marks important progress in the UK, even if the financial impact of individual agreements remains limited.
