Aker Carbon Capture announces Chief Financial Officer Julie Berg to step down
Aker Carbon Capture ASA today announces that Julie Berg has decided to step down from her role as Chief Financial Officer to take on the position as Chief Financial Officer of Mainstream Renewable Power.
“Julie has played an integral role in the process of developing an agreement to form a joint venture between Aker Carbon Capture and SLB, as announced in March. We are truly grateful for her contribution, and we’re appreciative that the Aker group will continue to benefit from her leadership skills and expertise as CFO of Mainstream,” said Egil Fagerland, Chief Executive Officer of Aker Carbon Capture ASA.
The transaction, by which Aker Carbon Capture ASA and SLB will combine their respective carbon capture businesses in Aker Carbon Capture Holding AS, is expected to close by end of the second quarter, 2024. Aker Carbon Capture’s board of directors is assessing the management resources needed to manage Aker Carbon Capture ASA after closing of the transaction.
Berg will leave Aker Carbon Capture ASA within the second quarter of 2024. The Company’s Head of Group Controlling Petter Natås will serve as interim CFO upon Berg’s departure.
