Agreement with Circle K regarding BIGbin sites is renewed
Waterford, Ireland – 16 March 2021, Kollect On Demand Holding AB (publ) (“Kollect” or the “Company”), (Nasdaq: KOLL), announces that the agreement between BIGbin Waste Technology Limited (“BWTL”) and Circle K governing the placement of BIGbins on forecourts has been renewed for two years with effect from 1 October 2020 until 30 September 2022.
The new agreement also adds an additional 260 potential sites from the Circle K dealer network, in addition to the 160 sites which Circle K owns and operates.
Currently, BWTL has BIGbins installed on a total of 12 Circle K sites, 8 Circle K owned and operated and 4 operated by retail dealer partners.
The extension to the agreement now provides for a finder’s fee to be paid to Circle K where it makes introductions to retail dealer partners which lead to them installing BIGbins on their Circle K forecourts. This increases the pipeline of potential sites to all 420 Circle K forecourts in the country.
Separately, BWTL has been trialing a contactless payment solution on one BIGbin in Dublin and approximately 20% of all transactions going through this bin are contactless. In view of the success of this project, BWTL will be incorporating a contactless payment solution into all new bins going forward.
