QRIOS slips into red as new CEO is hired
Tough market ahead, lower assumptions short-term
Q1: 6% sales growth y-o-y driven by Dreamwork acquisition
PION reported Q1 sales of SEK 532m (+6% y-o-y), driven by the acquisition of Dreamwork Scandinavia AB that is now consolidated in the Poolia business area. Organically, Uniflex was +1% y-o-y, Poolia was -1% y-o-y and QRIOS was -12% y-o-y on a weaker IT consulting market. Apart from the reported numbers, PION Group is making several management changes, as the board feels that new leadership is required in order to fulfil the company's 2026 ambition of SEK 4 bn in sales with a 5% EBITA margin. New acting CEO Mats Kullenberg is taking over from previous CEO Jan Bengtsson and Anna Bäcklin has been recruited as CEO for QRIOS Tech AB and will also act as vice CEO in PION Group. Reported EBITA was SEK -9.9m (24m) and adj. EBITA was SEK 3.3m as the company had IACs of SEK 13.2m, mainly from the mentioned management changes.
