PolarCool enters third contract period with the German ice hockey club Adler Mannheim
PolarCool AB (publ) and Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) team Adler Mannheim, have extended their agreement by another three years until 2027. The German ice hockey giant has successfully used PolarCap® since 2020 and the treatment is now an important part in the team's concussion management routine.
PolarCool develops and markets the product PolarCap®, which alleviates the effects of concussions. The primary users of PolarCap® include sports clubs, organizations, and facilities in contact sports such as ice hockey, rugby, football, and handball, but also other sports with an increased risk of concussion.
Adler Mannheim was the first German club to recognize the benefits of acute treatment for their players using the PolarCap® System back in 2020. During the following season, PolarCool further established PolarCap®, adding several other professional ice hockey clubs in the German ice hockey league DEL.
PolarCool CEO Erik Andersson comments:
-Once again, we see an example of customers choosing to extend their contract for the PolarCap® System. Adler Mannheim is a pioneer in German ice hockey, and it is of course extra gratifying that they have chosen to extend the agreement for a third contract period, which adds up to seven years in total. It is a receipt for the value we create for our customers and shows the strength of our business model.
PolarCool continues to see great potential in the German hockey market as the upcoming season approaches, which features 28 teams across the top two leagues. The agreement with Adler Mannheim is strategically important, despite the limited financial significance of individual agreements.
