Peab builds pipeline for technical water in Boden
Peab has been commissioned to expand and rebuild underground pipelines from Lule River to Boden's new industrial area, Boden Industrial Park. The customer is Boden Municipality and the contract is worth SEK 276 million.
Peab has been contracted to build a new pump station at Lule River, downstream from the Bodsvedjan Wastewater Treatment Plant, and to lay down pipes for technical water from Lule River to Boden Industrial Park. This project enables investments in the green industry in the north and abets the construction of the new industrial park.
"I'm proud that we at Peab, with our cutting-edge expertise in this area, can contribute to the green industry's transition in the north. We've planned the work that is now moving into the next phase, which is the actual execution," says Hans Boija, Region Manager Peab.
This construction contract was preceded by a so-called phase 1 contract where Peab is contracted to map out together with the customer an optimized product with the right quality and handle risks and uncertainties. The project is now entering phase 2 where a construction contract is signed.
The project is a turnkey contract in partnering. Construction starts in December 2024 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
The project will be order registered in the fourth quarter 2024.
